At the thirteenth annual commencement of the Berkshire Summer School of Art, Monterey, Mass., held in Carrington Hall on Friday of last week, Miss Ardath Millar, of this village was one of a class of twenty-five graduates receiving a diploma in Design, having successfully completed the course under Raymond P. Ensign, Director of the School, and Dean of the Chicago Art Institute. In addition to this major course, Miss Millar completed the Commercial Art Course given by Ernest W. Watson, Supervisor at Pratt Institute and William Longyear, Instructor at Pratt Institute. Besides engaging in many of the entertaining features staged at camp throughout the session, Miss Millar assisted in the staging of the Fifth Week Mask and Puppet Play and the arranging of the annual exhibition, a feature of the Commencement week program. Miss Millar's work has been chosen by the Directors to be shown at the spring meeting of the Eastern Arts Association as a part of the Berkshire Summer School exhibitions.
