Bonita is buried at Evergreen Cemetary, Chebanse, Iroquois County, IL.

Bonita "Bonnie" Brave, 79, of Chebanse, passed away at 3:18 a.m. Tuesday (June 1, 2010) at St. James Hospice in Chicago Heights. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Vern Arseneau will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Chebanse. Memorials may be made to St. James Hospice.
Bonnie had worked as a seamstress for Team Print for 17 years. She was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Kankakee, the daughter of Edward and Irene Miller Houde. She enjoyed camping and going to garage sales and being with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, (Living) Brave of Chebanse, whom she married Nov. 26, 1949, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee; two daughters, (Living); two sons, (Living); 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; her very special father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brave; and a special friend, Sylvia Perzee.
