(Kankakee) Daily Journal (unknown date)Howard P. "HP" Miller, 76, of Kankakee, died Tuesday (Jan. 1, 2008) at Riverside Medical Center. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by the Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Crematory, West Kankakee. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Miller was the former owner of Fire Extinguishers Sales and Service. He was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Kankakee, the son of Leo and Della Rainbolt Miller. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict from 1950-53 and a member of the VFW.
Surviving are his wife (name deleted), whom he married June 2, 1951 at Asbury Methodist Church, Kankakee; four daughters and sons-in-law (names deleted); 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his mother of Kankakee.
His father is deceased.
