    Maulbetsch Rites at 2 PM Friday
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Rehr funeral home for Mrs. Frances I. Maulbetsch, 79, Kankakee resident who died Wednesday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Jefferson, Gary, Ind., where she visited for the past two months. The Rev. Mr. Kesterson of Aroma Park will officiate and burial will be in Mound Grove cemetery.
    Mrs. Maulbetsch was born in Iroquois county, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Guthrie. She was reared on a farm and received her education in the Sheldon schools. Afterwards she taught for many years in Iroquois county schools.
    The deceased was first married to John Gerber and following his death she remarried, this time to Adolph Maulbetsch. He died three years ago. Mrs. Maulbetsch spent most of her recent life in Aroma Park and Kankakee.
    She is survived by five children of her first marriage, George Gerber of Naperville, Wendell Gerber of Kankakee, Mrs. Jefferson of Gary, Ind., Mars. Faye Captain of Kankakee and Mrs. Ruth Ntceros of Grand Rapids, Mich; a sister, Mrs. Len Case of St. Cloud, Minn; a brother J.B. Guthrie of Kankakee; a step-daughter, Marie Maulbetsch of Kankakee; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    Pallbearers at the funeral yesterday at the Rehr funeral home for Mrs. Frances I. Maulbetsch, who died Wednesday at Gary, were Lloyd Wilkinson, Ernest Miller, Frederick Cole, Elwood Gerber, John Wahlbeck and Mac Brkovich. The Rev. J.R. Kesterson, new pastor of the Aroma Park Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Mound Grove cemetery.
