Visitation for Della Elizabeth Miller, 97, of Kankakee, will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until 4 p.m. Services at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. The Rev. John Marvin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local Special Olympics or to St. Jude. She died Tuesday (Feb. 12, 1008).
Mrs. Miller worked as a certified aluminum welder during World War II. She was born June 29, 1910, in Johnson County, the daughter of James and Haley Evans Rainbolt. Her husband, Leo Miller, is deceased. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and Immanuel Baptist Church, both in Kankakee.
Surviving are four grandchildren, (living); 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are one son, Howard Miller (Jan. 1, 2008); six brothers, Willie, Cecil, Fred, Cletus, Gene, and infant; and four sisters, Minnie, Daisy, Lula and Laura.
